Life in the Quercy is a delight.

The weather is less intensely hot here than it is in the more southerly Provence, less windy than the areas to the east, less cold than the Pyrenees and considerably warmer than the more northerly regions of Normandy and Brittany. Although winters can be cold, daytime temperatures will rise quickly in sunshine, and eating outside at lunchtime can be enjoyed at most times of the year.
